Elementary Age Audiences

A. Planet Earth or Planet Plastic:
1. A three-hour multi-media lecture presentation for elementary level learners.
2. Extended Learning Opportunity:
        1.
After learning about the crisis, participants will be invited to write a letter about what they want to change about. These letters can be bundled and sent to government and advocate groups that stand for solutions to the plastics crisis.
        2. After learning about the history of plastics, participants will be invited to work in a group to think of alternatives to single-use plastics and our toxic dependence on plastics today. Each team will make a Power Point Presentation and/or poster to be displayed on site at their schools or local City Hall.

B. The ABC's of Recycling

 1. A one-and-a-half-hour multi-media presentation for elementary learners.
2. Extended Learning Opportunities:
        1. After learning about the different materials that we use daily and how we may recycle them, or not, we will approach the best practices in how to practice and promote recycling in our communities.
        2. Participants will be invited to create their own recycle message in art to share with their community leaders, school or family member. This could be a poster or an actual object d’ arte with recyclable items.
